Why Smarteez?
Designs that are researched, not copied
Every Smarteez design begins with the source — the actual Patachitra scroll painters of Pingla in Paschim Medinipur, the Kalighat painters of 19th century Kolkata, the specific manuscripts where Tagore's scribbles live. We do not approximate folk art. We go to where it comes from.
HD DTF print. ECOPASSPORT certified inks.
Every print on every Smarteez product uses High-Definition Direct to Film technology with OEKO-TEX ECOPASSPORT certified inks — independently verified, skin-safe, free of harmful substances. The certification is real. You can look it up. The print quality on our khadi and cotton has been tested by 13,000+ buyers across multiple washing cycles. It holds.
Festival drops. Evergreen designs. Both honest.
Some Smarteez products are festival drops — made once, for one occasion, in a fixed quantity. When these sell out, they are done. Other designs — the ones that have earned their place across thousands of orders — stay. Not because we manufacture nostalgia, but because some pieces of Bengal never go out of meaning.
Worn across 180+ cities — from Kolkata to Bangalore to London
Our buyers live in Park Street and Salt Lake. They also live in Koramangala, Bandra, Hauz Khas, and suburbs of Melbourne and New Jersey. The Bengali who left Kolkata ten years ago and still has Sanchayita on their shelf. The one who plays Rabindra Sangeet on Sunday mornings in a flat in London. Smarteez was built for them — and for the one who never left at all.
As featured in The Telegraph and Bartaman.
The Bengali in the room will always ask first
At cultural programmes in Bangalore. At Puja committees in Mumbai. At family gatherings in Delhi. At adda sessions in Kolkata. Smarteez buyers report the same experience — someone stops them, looks at what they are wearing, and asks: where did you get this? We designed every product to make that conversation happen. The asking is the point. The telling is the pride.
