A courtyard, a drum and a story older than anyone present was enough. The Patuas, Bengal's Patachitra scroll painters, carried those stories from village to village, singing them as they unrolled each panel.

This is a contemporary artist's imagination of that folk tradition, made to be worn: a folk dance couple, mid-step, in the spirit of Patachitra art, in the red, cream and black of the village painter's palette.

This is 240 GSM French terry cotton, the weight of a sweatshirt in the shape of a T-shirt. It's smooth outside and soft and looped inside, with a ribbed collar and cuffs that hold their shape. The double stitching at the shoulder, hem and cuffs is made to last many winters.

What does 240 GSM mean?
GSM is how heavy the cloth is. Our regular T-shirts are 180 GSM. This one is 240, 1.33x the weight, so it feels thick and soft, holds its shape, and keeps you warm through the winter.

Why it stands apart.
Heavier cloth than our regular tees, stronger stitching, and a fabric that feels as good in January as it did on the first day.

The artwork is an HD DTF print, done with ink that carries the OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT certification. That means the ink's ingredients have been checked against OEKO-TEX's safety standards, so it is gentle on your skin.
How should I wash and iron it?
Machine wash cold. Turn it inside out when washing and ironing to protect the print. Tumble dry on low if you use a dryer.
