THE STORY

Saptami morning. Before sunrise. A priest carries the Nabapatrika — nine plants bound together and dressed as a bride, representing nine forms of the Goddess — down to the river for her ritual bath. A conch sounds. A dhaki raises his drum. Children run alongside, unable to keep still. Only after she's bathed and brought home does Durga Puja truly begin.

This combo carries that procession across both of you.

THE SET

For him — a panjabi in pure white cotton, a red medallion on the sleeve reading "আসছে উমা" (Uma is coming), and the Nabapatrika Snan procession running down the front: the priest bearing the plant bundle, the conch-blower, the dhaki mid-strike, children running to keep pace. Paired with an authentic 4.5-metre traditional Bengali dhuti, hand-draped, carrying the same flame-edged zigzag border in red.

For her — a saree in white handloom khadi cotton, the same procession unfolding across the pallu in full, framed by the matching red zigzag border.
