    THE STORY

Saptami morning. Before sunrise. A priest carries the Nabapatrika — nine plants bound together and dressed as a bride, representing nine forms of the Goddess — down to the river for her ritual bath. A conch sounds. A dhaki raises his drum. Children run alongside, unable to keep still. Only after she's bathed and brought home does Durga Puja truly begin.

This saree carries that procession, in full, across the pallu.

    THE SAREE

Woven in white handloom khadi cotton, the pallu unfolds the entire Nabapatrika Snan scene — the priest bearing the wrapped nine-plant bundle, the woman blowing the shankha, the dhaki mid-strike with his feathered drum raised high, and children running to keep pace — rendered in the same warm, hand-illustrated folk style as Bengal's traditional festival art.

A bold flame-edged zigzag border in red runs the length of the saree, framing the procession and echoing the same fire-and-ritual energy running through the print.

    THE PRINT

High-definition DTF printing with OEKO-TEX ECOPASSPORT certified inks — safe against skin, independently verified free of harmful substances, holding its color and detail wash after wash.

    THE FABRIC

Woven in pure handloom khadi cotton — breathable, textured, and true to Bengal's handloom heritage. The fabric only gets softer with wear.
