For centuries, Bengali women stitched their world into cloth — village life, seasonal rituals, the everyday sacred — in a tradition called Nakshi Kantha. Two women bent over fabric, needle moving, a story taking shape stitch by stitch. This saree is that tradition, reimagined.
The pallu carries the scene entire: two women seated on the ground, stitching a kantha together, surrounded by the Bengal they know — a thatched hut, a duck by the pond, a basket of eggs, flowering plants, a cat curled at the edge. The border runs the full length in warm florals and village vignettes — huts, trees, birds — all in the muted, earthy palette of traditional Nakshi Kantha folk art.
